Where Are They Now?

Tim Dial – Professor of Costume Design, University of South Florida. Tim graduated from the Theatre Department in 1998.

Clinton O’Dell – Professor of Set and Costume Design, Wheaton College, Boston. Clinton graduated from the University of Tennessee in 2006 with a degree in Costume Design.

Tommy Macon – Professor of Costume Design, Middle Tennessee State University. Tommy earned his degree in 1995.

Lindsay Stringfellow -  Associate General Manager of the Helen Hayes Theatre on Broadway, home to the hit musical Rock of Ages. She is also an Equity stage manager and director living in New York. Lindsay graduated from the UT theatre program in 2010.

Johann Stegmeir – (Costume Designer) Glimmerglass Opera, Los Angeles Opera, Washington Opera, Santa Fe Opera, Lyric Opera, Carnegie Hall, Asolo Theatre, Designer for Bruce Beresford film, PEACE, LOVE AND MISUNDERSTANDING with Jane Fonda and Katherine Keener. Johann graduated with a MFA in Costume Design from the Theatre Department in 1990. Picture (right) is from his MFA Thesis Project. This costume sketch is for the opera Lulu by Alban Berg.

Jessica Wegener (Shay) – (Costume Designer) Off Broadway, Broadway. Jessica graduated from the Theatre Department at UTK in 2006 in Costume Design.

Nicky Smith – Stylist, Brooks Brothers, NYC. Nicky graduated in 2006 from the University of Tennessee Theatre Department.

BRIAN BARKER – Adjunct Faculty for Virginia Commonwealth University; Owner of Barker Designs – a production design and creative consultant company. Brian graduated in 2007 in Scenic Design.

ALLISON LULL – Visual Designer, YWS Design and Architecture, Las Vegas, NV; Owner of Las Vegas Teaser Tours. Allison graduated in 2007 in Scenic Design.

MORGAN MATENS – Puppeteer and artisan at Wishing Chair Productions, Nashville, TN – Instructor and E&A College, Hebei Province, China. Morgan graduated in 2009 in Scenic Design.

NATE SINNOTT – Assistant Professor of Scenic Design, East Carolina University – Formerly Assistant Professor of Scenic and Lighting Design, California Lutheran University. Nate earned his MFA in Scenic Design in 2009.

MARY PINGREE – Assistant Art Director – Nashville, ABC-TV, The Bold and the Beautiful – ABC–TV. Mary graduated from the Theatre Department’s MFA Scenic Design Program in 2011.

LIBBY STADSTAD – Assistant Scenic Designer, The Bridges of Madison County, Broadway. Libby graduated Spring of 2013 from the MFA Scenic Design Program.
