Develyn Jayan
Acting Concentration, Class of ’26
Develyn’s story started in the southern corner of India, and kept travelling to the rest of the country, and now halfway across the world. After receiving her undergraduate degree from the National Institute of Fashion Technology in Mumbai, Develyn is currently a third-year MFA Actor at the University of Tennessee. As an Indian classical dancer who started performing at five, the stage has always been her happy place. With her immense love for choreographing, painting, costuming and film, Develyn loves storytelling in all shapes and forms. Her recent credits include Sense and Sensibility (Marianne Dashwood), Inherit the Wind (Rachel Brown), A Christmas Carol (Belle, Ghost of Christmas Past) at the Clarence Brown Theatre, and The Comedy of Errors (Luciana) and Two Gentlemen of Verona (Julia) at the Great River Shakespeare Festival.
