Leilane is a scenic designer, actor, director, playwright, and Scenic Design MFA student at the University of Tennessee, Knoxville. She is a Brazilian multidisciplinary theatre artist with experience across various areas of performance and design. Originally from São Paulo, Brazil, Leilane holds a Certificate in Musical Theatre, a Bachelor’s degree in Digital Design, and a Graduate Certificate in Acting and Directing. As a visual artist, Leilane has exhibited her watercolors in Brazil and the United States, including at the International Contemporary Art Salon at the Carrousel du Louvre in Paris. Along with her work as a scenic designer at the Clarence Brown Theatre, she is the founder of Inquietações Theatre Company, an independent Brazilian company where she creates and performs her own plays. Leilane is a theatre maker passionate about creating theatre around the world. “Create the art you want to live.”
