We have a variety of rehearsal/training spaces. Here are a few short descriptions of them. Check back soon, as we are in the process of collecting photos of students working in these spaces.
Much of the acting/directing classes are held in the Lab Theatre.
Most of our mainstage productions rehears in a large rehearsal room with a sprung dance floor and mirrors in the Alumni Memorial Building (AMB). Some of our movement and acting ensemble classes are also held in this space.
The graduate actors have their own rehearsal/classroom space in the Physical Education & Recreation building (HPR).
The graduate designers have an actual house, which contains the graduate seminar room, a computer lab, lighting lab, and design/work rooms.
Undergraduates have a computer lab of their own in the basement of AMB. This lab contains workstations with drafting, photo manipulation, audio and video creation software.
Also, in the basement of the AMB is a 1/6 scale theatre media lab, complete with front and rear projection, all kinds of lighting equipment and full surround sound system for projects and classes.
