MFA in Design - How to Apply

1. Inform the major advisor in your area of concentration by email that you are submitting an application.
   
   
2. Graduate School Requirements:
   Graduate Application for Admission
   Note: GRE exam not required.
   Note: The MFA Design Programs at UT recruits students for the fall of even numbered years. Our next recruitment cycle will be for Fall 2012. Online application is encouraged.


3. Department of Theatre Requirements:
• A professional resume.
  
• A brief essay (2 pages maximum) about your commitment to a life in art, your interest in training, and your creative and career interests.
  
• Two letters of recommendation.
  
• The Application for Graduate Assistantship
  (note: the completed application should be emailed to
  tweber@utk.edu) Adobe Reader will only enable you to print the completed form for your records, not save the digital file.
  
• An interview/ portfolio review.Please contact a faculty member in your area of interest to arrange the interview/portfolio review.
